After noticing how many games Mario has to his name, Wario decides to have yet another adventure in the Wario Land series. But while piloting his airplane, something goes wrong and Wario crashes near a cave that contains a magical music box. After messing around with it, Wario gets sucked into the world inside the box and must retrieve the five sacred treasures to break free, and nab a bunch of other treasure for himself, of course.
I had gotten a lot of requests to do this game; a surprising amount in fact. Although I would never say a project of mine was bad (if it was, I would never upload it), Wario Land 2 did not make any major waves, so it was interesting to see people request more. I think it’s because Wario Land 3 seems to have a cult following from people who absolutely love the game and claim it’s one of their all-time favorites. When I played it a few months back for RetroAchievements, I wouldn’t say I was “quite” on board with those sentiments, but I do appreciate some of the uniqueness the game tried to put forth. So, why not do a project on it?
