Remember when Kirby GCN was a thing for the longest time? Then once the Gamecube era ended and Kirby’s Epic Yarn was the first Kirby platformer since Kirby 64, people wondered whatever the hell happened to that Kirby game we were promised? However, when Return to Dream Land came out, all questions were answered as people flocked to another one of the Wii’s awesome platforming titles. This time with multiplayer posibilities, interesting motion controlled minigames, brand new copy power-ups and a whole lot more.

I think it is safe to say that Return to Dream Land was in the works for a really long time on my channel. However, the timing never felt just right for it until this year when I needed a project to go alongside what was left of the Sacred Stones postgame. So Kirby, you ready for another round of fun in Dream Land?

Dark matter, the same icky stuff from Kirby’s Dream Land 2, has made its return, but this is not something our hero Kirby will be able to stand for. With new abilities and new animal friends, our hero is ready to once again save the day from almost certain doom!

This was the tenth “replay” project I did on my channel, as I had done some videos for the game at a prior date, but due to the poorer quality of the project, I decided to redo the project with a modern spin. The videos for the old project are still available for viewing on my channel, but there is no longer a playlist associated with that version.

Once again, I was dissatisfied with the original rendition of a project I had done and I wanted to do it over again and do it right. This time was Kirby’s Dream Land 3, a game that I originally played “blind” for you guys, but I was unhappy with the result as it gave a very unprofessional balance of “blind playthrough with post-commentary.” With the final result of this project, I will say that I was glad that I redid this project, although I will say that I wasn’t a huge fan of it either; my distate mostly stemming from the fact that I am not a big fan of this game, as I found out.

Dream Land has met with a terrible fate, and that fate is known as King Dedede! This greedy king needs to be stopped, and a puffball named Kirby is the only one who can do it! This was Kirby’s very first video game adventure, and thankfully was not his last!

This is perhaps one of the shortest projects I have ever done on my channel, but considering the game only has 5 levels (one of which being a boss endurance), I guess you can’t really be surprised by that fact. I did this game as a weekend mini-project because I wanted to take a break from doing Advance Wars map playthroughs. I also had another ulterior motive which showed its face two-weeks later when I covered the sequel, and later in 2013 when I took on the 3rd game (again). I also techically played this game twice, the second time using “Hard Mode,” an addition which actually made this game quite challenging!

Dark Matter is once again on the loose, and it’s up to Kirby and his friends to make things right and banish the evil sludge back to where it came from. In order to accomplish this, Kirby must travel to several other planets and use some very new and unique powers, including a new mechanic of combining copy abilities!

I was smack dab in the middle of my Radiant Dawn playthrough at the time and wanted to make sure that I had a decent buffer in between the mass quantities of videos I was uploading for the Radiant Dawn project. I turned to Kirby, particularly my 2nd favorite Kirby game, for a bit of assistance, because everybody loves that Kirby guy! I do feel like this playthrough got kind of drowned out by Radiant Dawn, which is a shame because I thought this honestly went pretty well considering.
