Mario Kart 7

It’s time for the next generation of Mario Kart, and this generation has handgliders and undersea driving…how adventurous! This installment of the game was released on the 3DS and became, easily, one of the 3DS’s biggest multiplayer and online games at the time! It’s time for another good-old fashioned race!

Mario Kart 7 was definitely a game I wanted to get done this year at some point, and since there was a convenient weekend project opening at the tail end of summer, it seemed like a good as time as any to get things moving here and get one step closer to being done/caught up with the Mario Kart series. I also feel like this is the first time I’ve been closer to finishing off the Mario Kart series than the Mario Party series. But anyway, back to what matters, another stroll through Mario Kart as I take a gander at all the grand prix cups on 150cc and Expert, look at some of the other modes that are available, and even take a few sessions of the game online for some fun and excitement!

Super Mario Kart

What happens when you take a racing game and fill it with all kinds of Mario characters and items? You get a recipe for absolute chaos! The Mario Kart series is known for being one of the most addictive Mario spin-offs you can ever find and this is a statement that was still true even for its first installment.

As much as I love the Mario Party series, I was running out of Mario Party games to play on my channel. As a result, I decided to go to another spin-off to get my fix. Mario Kart is a series I’ve been playing since my youth, even being the owner of the very first Mario Kart game which I played religiously with my father. Although I can’t promise any narrow-margin victories like we’ve seen in Mario Party, this race does get extremely intense!

Mario Party

Mario Party

Mario and his friends are arguing about who is the true superstar of the bunch. However, when the argument starts to get heated, Toad stops the flame war and decides that the group needs to play a game of Mario Party to determine who the superstar really is. This game was the start of Hudson Soft’s famous Mario Party franchise and was the flagship title that brought all of our favorite board games and mini-games to the gaming world!

Although this is the first installment of the Mario Party franchise, this was not the earliest Mario Party playthrough on my channel. I had previously done both Mario Party and Mario Party 2 (along with Mario Party 3 and Mario Party 4) before I came back to do this replay project. I had some problems with copyright on the original Mario Party and Mario Party 2 projects, so I had to remove the videos, but I did not have to remove Mario Party 3 or Mario Party 4, which makes them the earliest Mario Party projects on my channel. The older Mario Party projects can no longer be found.

This project is definitely one of my favorites of all the projects I have done on my channel. It set-up, established, and continued a lot of long-running jokes that would return in other Mario Party playthroughs and other LPs in general, including my tirade against the one and only Princess Peach!

Mario Party 4

Mario and his friends are once again met with another opportunity to party like the part animals that they are! This was the first Mario Party installment available for the Nintendo Gamecube and it featured new boards, new mini-games, new items, lots of new bonus features, and perhaps the best thing, just a new Mario Party game to play!

Although this is the 4th installment of the Mario Party series, it is actually the 2nd earliest (in terms of date) available playlist of my Mario Party playthrough series. This is because I had to remove my original playthroughs of Mario Party 1 and Mario Party 2 due to the issues of copyright I had with those videos, and as a result, I redid them at a later date, after this project.

This may be one of my earlier projects, but this is where I felt things were starting to come together in terms of how I wanted the quality of my videos to be. I had some issues with the audio quality, but I don’t think they hindered the project and still made it a very enjoyable party!
