When people think Nintendo 64 platforming, they think of Mario, and they think of Rareware. Not only did Rare have Donkey Kong 64 and Conker’s Bad Fur Day, but they also had another legendary series that also started on the Nintendo 64; the Banjo series. Banjo’s sister Tooty has been kidnapped by an evil witch and it’s now up to Banjo and his partner Kazooie to rescue her on this magical and classic adventure.
Banjo-Kazooie is a game that has always been very close to my heart, coming out in what I define as a golden age for gaming. It’s also a game where I feel, despite Super Mario 64’s best and amazing efforts, showed that Rareware was the king of making amazing platformers, even more amazing than the red-capped plumber. I was really excited to do this playthrough for you guys and was a project I felt embodied the best of my channel in 2013.
